Sheet Switching Macro Bug

I seem to have stumbled upon an excel bug which stops my sheet switching macros from working. If I hide the tab which leads to the sheet, the macro which links to that sheet also stops working. I do not have any apparent knowledge of how to resolve this issue unless there is a different code somewhere which can keep the macros working even when the sheet tab has been hidden
